A Study on the Changes of Body Composition in Postpartum under the Sasang Constitution

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective :The mother-body is restored slowly to a situation which not to do the pregnancy in the postpartum period. The birth is the starting point of the weight increase of the woman. The Taeeumin(÷¼ëäìÑ) have been known for the thing by near to the Obesity in the relation of the Sasang(ÞÌßÚ) Constitution and Obesity. This research watched the association of the Sasang(ÞÌßÚ) Constitution Medicine with the obesity after the birth, and we were tried and to look into the impact to influence on the Oriental Postpartum Care the obesity after the birth.
Methods :This clinical study was done on 152 patients who were treated by Oriental Postpartum Care in oriental medical hospital of Woosuk University from March 2001 to July 2002 We analyzed the Body Composition each the research object with a hospitalization that day after the 2 weeks and We distinguished Sasang(ÞÌßÚ) Constitution by Sasang
Conclusion :The Oriental Postpartum Care has the effectiveness to care about the health management after birth. But the Body Composition according to the Sasang(ÞÌßÚ) Constitution did not have but the attention. Therefore the Oriental Postpartum Care is efficient at the Obesity management of the birth woman, which not related with the Sasang(ÞÌßÚ) Constitution.
